Investment Project: Mission School

Equip a leader, change a church, impact a community. Over to you.

We recently sought to raise sponsorship for two projects, the first is the sponsorship of the Romanian Center for Cross-Cultural Studies (RCCS) in Constanta, Romania and the second is the MP4 Project.

The Mission School had a need of a €60,000 loan in order to complete the renovations and refurbishment of their facility for the Fall intake of students. This project as you will see below has incredible potential for the generation of cash to help maintain the School, so this was a viable and stable investment that will see leaders empowered, mission workers equipped and be a well placed facility for other events. We are excited to tell you that we were able to raise the €60,000 loan that was needed. We received €15,000 through partnership with individuals and companies that responded to the opportunity whilst Ian was in Australia recently and €45,000 from the Proton Foundation’s Entrepreneurial Fund.

About the Mission School Project

In 1996 Dobrogea Mission and Evangelization School was established in Constanta (SMED). The school vision was to equip leaders, evangelists and church planters who were to work to win Dobrogea for Christ. Initially, students only attended classes for six months. Then in 2000, a major new objective was implemented, to train students for cross-cultural ministry in order to reach those who have never heard the Word of God; especially amongst the Muslim people. Subsequently, SMED was renamed Romanian Center for Cross-cultural Studies (RCCS). In 2001 had the first graduating class of eleven students who had attended daily classes for six months. Seven of these are involved today in mission ministry among Muslim peoples in Romania and Turkey.

The Investment Project

The project is for the freehold ownership and refurbishment of the RCCS Center. The Center since purchase it has increased in value to €500,000. They require a €60,000 loan for three years to complete. Currently they have obtained €15,000 towards this but still need €45,000. Along with this loan, they have raised €300,000 (donations) so they are well underway with achieving the overall goal. The RCCS need the loan urgently in order to complete all the work that is needed in order to start to gain rental revenue this year coupled with the upcoming student intake in September 2007. The college will have the ability to rent 40 beds for 18 weeks in the year. They estimate they will have a profit of €5 per bed per day. This equates to €25,200. We (Next Level International) are confident that with our Short Term Mission teams and Conferences the total NLI usage will equate to 80% of available time. This will produce €20,000 at today profit on a twelve-month cycle. The Mission School is a part owner of a property shared by the local church. The estimated share in the property value is €135,000. When this property is sold it will release some extra cash that could pay back the loan sooner than the 36 month period.

Project Outcomes

1. The Mission School will be fully functional in training people for ministry in Romania, Turkey and the Muslim world.
2. It will provide a fresh revenue stream for the ministry of the School.
3. It will give stable prices for the STM teams coming into Romania for the next decade.
4. It will give a reasonable place to train church planters and church leaders for the foreseeable future.

Endorsements

The whole project is endorsed by the local Pentecostal denomination and is overseen by a very good friend of Ian Green’s, Bishop Ghita Ritisan.

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment to improve the world.
