Eurosummit 2007 - Closing the Gap
Jim Dunn was the guest speaker at the EuroSummit Conference in Krakow, Poland and led an inspiring session on the necessity for individuals and organisation, both from the church and in business, to get trained and equipped to implement real positive change in our local communities.
Breakthrough Programme
After securing funding from the Catalyst Fund; one of our Proton Associates Andy Hamill was able to deliver a ten-week programme of activities to a group of eight young people who were aged 14 and were at risk of exclusion from their school, Highfields College of the Arts in Derbyshire, UK. The programme's aim was to help these young people get back on track at school.
Dreamcatchers Reach Programme
We are currently working on a new project called the Dreamcatchers Reach Programme, which aims at increasing the aspirations and skill-base of young people not currently in education, employment or training. The programme is also a useful tool to re-engage young people who are at risk of exclusion or dropping out of mainstream education.
Kings Construction Update 1
After one operational year as a company we are excited to report one house has been built and sold with the second ready to be sold.
Community Impact Conference
June 4 to 6 saw a group of 21 delegates from all over Eastern Europe and the UK descend upon the town of Alfreton, UK, to attend the Genesis/ Proton Community Impact Conference.
The Ash Green Story
In 2004 a UK businessman was inspired as he watched a short documentary film in a church meeting of a project undertaken to transform a local High School. The businessman was so inspired that he challenged his church community, King’s Community Church, to undertake a similar project at his former School, Ash Green Comprehensive in Coventry in the West Midlands, UK.

In the first part of September we were glad to host Graeme and Sharon Lauridsen on our first ever Making Money Work UK tour.
