Franchise initiative looks to create jobs

Read the latest news from the Franchise development team as they drive forward a new initiative to see jobs created in Romania and Bulgaria.

Working in partnership with Iain Martin, Managing Director of Kyros Franchising Limitied, a UK based company providing recruitment services for the franchise industry, the Proton Foundation continues to explore the opportunity for franchise development in Europe, initially in Bulgaria and Romania.  A year on from initial visits made by the team in January 2010 much has been achieved as they push forward with establishing national holding companies:

  • A ‘blueprint’ was drafted for how the franchise model will work.  The aim is to provide employment opportunities for those who are marginalised as a result of their birth, their race, past addictions or any other barrier to participating in and contributing to their local communities. Potential partnerships are being pursued.
  • A UK-based Investment Fund was established to support the launch of the franchise initiative.
  • Links have been established with national professionals in both the finance and legal professions.
  • Confirmation has been received from several major international franchise brands that they would award a countrywide franchise licence through this initiative.

During our visit to Romania we have made significant connections with people who potentially would be outstanding members of the national development team, however we are still in pursuit of a suitable candidate to manage and oversee the National Holding companies.  A job description is available on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
