Managing Director

Full-time 3 Year Contract / UK based / Part self-funded

The purpose of this key executive position is to develop and implement strategic plans and goals to assist the organisation to deliver its aims and objectives; to identify and develop new business opportunities, to build organisational capacity and structures, and to manage the day-to-day operational affairs of the organisation.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To advise, guide and propose courses of action to the Board of Directors in regards to strategic planning and goal setting.

2. To determine and review annual action plans.

3. To oversee the design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programmes, products and services.

4. To ensure that the organisation and its mission, programmes, products and services are consistently presented with a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.

5. To oversee fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation.

6. To recommend yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manage the organisation's resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.

7. To effectively manage the human resources of the organisation according to authorised personnel policies and procedures ensuring that they fully conform to current laws and regulations.

8. To ensure that effective systems, policies and procedures are in place to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation.

9. To identify and build a network of partners and clients.

10. To carry out other tasks commensurate to the post as directed by the Foundation’s Directors.
